Terms & Conditions
1. General Rental Terms
The vehicle is delivered to the renter in good condition and free from any visible defects. Any concerns regarding the vehicle's condition must be reported to Stamatis & Maria Auto Moto Rentals immediately upon delivery.
The renter agrees to return the vehicle, including all accessories, in the same condition and at the agreed location, date, and time specified in the rental agreement. Failure to do so may result in additional charges beyond the standard rental fee.
Stamatis & Maria Auto Moto Rentals reserves the right to repossess the vehicle without prior notice and at the renter's expense if it is used in violation of these Terms & Conditions.
The renter is responsible for monitoring the vehicle's basic mechanical condition, including oil level, coolant, tire pressure, and warning indicators, and must notify the company immediately if any issue arises. Unauthorized repairs by the renter or any third party are strictly prohibited.
The vehicle must not be used:
- On unpaved or off-road surfaces.
- For transporting passengers or goods for hire or reward.
- For towing another vehicle, trailer, or object.
- In races, rallies, speed tests, or beach driving.
- For subleasing or lending to third parties.
- By any driver under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication affecting driving ability.
- In violation of Greek traffic laws or customs regulations.
- By anyone not listed as an authorized driver on the rental agreement.
- To transport excessive luggage, hazardous materials, flammable substances, narcotics, animals, or goods that may damage the vehicle.
- On ferry boats or outside the island of Kos without prior written authorization from Stamatis & Maria Auto Moto Rentals.
2. Insurance
Stamatis & Maria Auto Moto Rentals provides full insurance coverage with zero excess for damage or loss to the vehicle, including tires, underbody, glass, and mirrors, provided the vehicle is driven only by the renter or an authorized driver and all rental terms are respected.
Personal luggage and belongings are not insured, and the company accepts no responsibility for their loss or damage.
Insurance does not cover:
- Damage or excessive soiling to the vehicle interior.
- Lost or damaged keys.
- Lost or damaged helmets or luggage boxes.
- Acts of vandalism or intentional damage.
- Damage resulting from violation of these Terms & Conditions.
In case of an accident, theft, fire, or other incident:
- Contact Stamatis & Maria Auto Moto Rentals immediately.
- Take photographs of the damage or incident.
- Complete and sign an accident report.
- Follow the instructions provided by the company and local authorities.

The renter must comply with all Greek traffic regulations. Seat belts and helmets are mandatory where required by law. Any fines or penalties incurred during the rental period are solely the renter's responsibility.
3. Vehicle Use Outside Kos
Vehicles rented from Stamatis & Maria Auto Moto Rentals are not permitted to leave the island of Kos unless prior written authorization has been granted by the company.
4. Payment
The full rental amount must be paid in advance upon delivery of the vehicle.
The rental price includes the agreed rental fee, applicable local taxes, and any additional services specified in the rental agreement.
If damage occurs as a result of misuse or violation of these Terms & Conditions, the renter will be fully liable for all repair costs, transportation expenses, loss of income, and any other losses incurred by the company. In such cases, any insurance coverage may become invalid.
5. Miscellaneous
The renter acknowledges that no ownership rights are acquired through this agreement other than the right to use the vehicle during the rental period.
All authorized additional drivers are jointly and severally liable with the renter for all obligations arising from the rental agreement.
This agreement supersedes all previous written or verbal agreements between Stamatis & Maria Auto Moto Rentals and the renter.
Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be governed by Greek law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Greece.
